Quick Update: Solid Start

Only played 6 hours this weekend, but it was a solid start for a new game. I started with just 1 tournament and now have worked my way to 8 games at once. Im struggling a bit with having 3 or 4 tournaments headsup at the same time. I think in time will come to me better, and maybe i will add more tables. Also my headsup game i admit is a little off, mostly because of all the DoN's the last year and a half. I ended the weekend with a 54%ROI with only 40 tournaments. Its a good start, and something to build on. Im going to work on improving my heads up play, adding more tournaments and improving everything even more. Hopefully June will be very promising.
Good Luck to All!

  1. Off to a great start in the new games. Best of luck.

I've been thinking of playing more regular SnGs or maybe the new knockouts but there aren't many running. Eventually I'd like to play mainly cash and mtts.

Except for this past month my ROI is DoN's is pretty good as long as I don't play too many tables or for too long. When I play 20 tables I always break even. The first hour goes well. I don't normally play that many at a time though.

Your red line is the complete opposite of mine. I posted some graphs in my last post. Even when I've had poor results in the past I never ran that far bellow EV. Have you ever experienced anything like that before?

  2. My DoN has dropped in 2010. However, my best was running 14 games at a time. For some reason that was the happy medium for me. When i switched up to 20 at once (like you) i also couldnt match my success at 14. My graph is totally unreliable since it has only been 40 tournaments so i will have to wait tell about 500 or 1000 to actually rate where im at on my new game.
